Our agenda

95% humour.

But we are also making fun of an adult entertainment industry that complains about free porn driving sales down whilst making tons of it available via affiliates such as ourselves.

Of course the issue is a complicated one. Piracy is a major problem for most studios, for example. But we think that with a little creativity and innovation adult entertainment companies can think of alternative products and ways to make money. The music industry is on the same boat.

We also, occasionally, take shots at the anti-porn moralists. Not because we hate them (we don’t), but because what they do is even more surreal that what we publish. Take a look at XXXChurch.com, for example.

Our agenda, if you can call it that, is this. That the adult industry should be less worried about free porn (and certainly not make so much of it available as promotional content) and focus their efforts on producing better products.

Online since 2006

The Free Porn Times launched in August 2006 and the headline for the first issue was “ASS CERTIFICATION CAUSES BIG-ASS CONTROVERSY”. There have been sillier headlines since – just check the archive.

The site describes itself as a ‘Spoof News Blog Inspired by Free Porn’ but has developed into a much more varied destination. Here you will also find:

Award winning content, that is

In 2007 we won the Best of Blogs award for the Best Sex Blog category. This was organised by One By One Media, one of the sponsors of the BlogWorld & New Media Expo.

A publication based in Second Life

We are the first adult site that has created a presence in Second Life as an integral part of the offering. By this we mean publishing content that is relevant to our HQs in Second Life and using Second Life as a source of content for the site.

The end result is the Free Sex Lounge where anyone can go and enjoy ‘meta-sex’ in a nice and cosy environment.

We also publish a blog called sex, sleaze & Second Life as well as second life porn galleries.

Second Life also provides our identities: Lhorentso Nurmi, owner and editor, and Sly Writer, who pens the Second Life blog and moderates the discussion boards. In reality, the site’s owner is a web professional living in London who wishes to remain anonymous.

What next?

Nothing specific. We’re just happy to produce write the stuff we do and continue building up our presence in Second Life.

We have a couple of ideas that we are developing, but that is top secret of course.
