The Daily Tang

The Daily Tang is the antidote to the presidential elections madness: video news posts reviewing all sorts of XXX topics, ranging from the plain vanilla to the extreme. A couple of examples.

If such topics don’t interest you there is another very good reason to watch the Daily Tang – the host. Her name is Veronika Raquel and she is very much above average in terms of looks. She is also a capable host that sounds natural, confident and relaxed. Her voice is very sexy too, which is a good thing for website accessibility (blind people will find it easy to get aroused).

The Daily Tang has hit on the right formula for delivering XXX content online. Clips are fun, feature a good selection of gratuitous nudity and are just the right length in time. Kudos to the site’s owner Jim Desade, a former network news producer who put his skills at much better use.

Jason Sechrest

Aka Jason Curious.

The first impression when visiting Jason’s website is that he’s yet another gay porn star with looks envied by most straight guys. Wrong. He is anything but that (a porn star, that is). He is most known for his work in print and broadcast journalism, for hosting events and his (mainstream) acting. Jason has also set up DV8 Entertainment, an adult video production company.

The Free Porn Times first saw Jason in action on KSEX.com where on Fridays he presents The Jason Sechrest Show. He instantly came across as articulate, pleasant and with an often surreal sense of humour. He is camp but not too camp.

Two qualities stand out, in our opinion. Firstly, during normal conversation he introduces and strings together unrelated, bizarre subjects. But in the end they make sense. It feels like coming out of a David Lynch movie ‘getting it’. Secondly, his delivery is superb. He expertly shapes his tone and pitch around the topic with excitable nonchalance, and is a master-pauser.

Move over Graham Norton.

XFanz.com

XFanz.com launched last year billing itself as the World’s Adult Entertainment Capital. That’s a fair description.

The truth is that there is nothing online like XFanz.com. It’s as if someone has channelled all the XXX material on the web through a machine that filters out everything but the coolest content: photos, videos, site reviews, blogs, forums and a myspace-like social network of fans and people working in the industry.

XFanz.com claim their site is about connecting — “Whether you’re just a fan, a movie producer, a webmaster or a celeb, we want to connect with you!” For once such a claim is true. They actively look for interesting content from its users and, best of all, users are able to interact with people working in the industry, including celebs such as the Free Porn Times favourite Sandee Westgate.

In terms of design, functionality and quality of content XFanz.com puts to shame most equivalent mainstream website (but we hope it will never cross over). Credit is due to the site’s producers, designers and programmers, which are the same team (we suspect) behind its B2B-focused sister site XBiz.com.

XFanz.com has not been nominated at this year’s XBiz Awards because of the obvious conflict of interest. Had it been running it would have been a clear contender.

2. I don’t find Jason Sechrest particularly interesting. Superificial, if anything. Which is fine for the types of shows that he does now. But I wouldn’t expect him to get involved in anything more than that.

3. The news is that KSEX radio has gone off air. Such a shame – they put on a good show.

   I hope Jason Sechrest find another radio for his show. Or perhaps even TV?

   Maybe he should collaborate with the folks at the Daily Tang for some kind of feature.

4. KSEX shows were good, but all the bickering was unprofessional. Their new site too sucked. Good idea but badly executed.

   XFanz should pick up the pieces and put together a proper show, getting Wankus involved again.
