Whilst ancient depictions of a sexual nature are nothing new, this is the first time that a ‘Thumbnail Gallery Preview’ (TGP) has discovered at an archaeological site.

Archaeologists working inin Pompei, Italy, have discovered a fresco painting depicting what can only described as a TGP (see photo below).

For those unfamiliar with TGPs they are pages featuring 10 to 20 images promoting a website, which is usually adult in nature. TGPs are responsible for most of the free pornography availabe online.

Because of its very good condition historians were able to read and translate the lating inscriptions, including titles for 4 explicit images:

Experts are puzzled by the last line which seems to reference to a website – www.romasex.com – which is an impossibility. The site re-directs to a place-holder page suggesting that the original site must have closed down.

A leading archaeologist explained: “There is a lot that can’t be explained when you look back through history. Certain depictions found in South America seem to depict astronauts — or people wearing fish bowls on their heads — so we wouldn’t be surprised if the Romans had developed a rudimentary stone-based internet.”

It is not quite clear to what niche this ancient Roman TGP may belong to, but it appears to be a mixture of gay and lesbian. Teen, interracial, shemale and MILF have been ruled out.

The fresco was unearthed at the very beginning of the excavation and it is believed that thousands more will come to light as the dig progresses.
