Adult website review site JanesGuide.com doesn't like the Free Porn Times

At the time of writing out of 16 sites in the Humor / Satire / Silly section of JanesGuide.com 15 have been rated as “Quality” sites. The only site not be of quality is the Free Porn Times.

Whilst we don’t agree with the opinions of the reviewer we respect them. JanesGuide.com is an established site that has become successful because of the quality of the reviews published. Fox news it ain’t.

However, we disagree with the categorisation of the Free Porn Times as having “Very High Advertising Content”.

It is true that the headlines and stories that we publish on the front page (and other pages) point to affiliate content that generates us money. But it is exactly this type of content that is the source of our news. The site can not exist without such links. The other option would be to link to other people’s affiliate content, which is something we do occasionally.

By stating that “the site is little more than a vehicle to push affiliate links to other porn sites/“ the reviewer gives us the impression that she has not read any of our articles, interviews and free porn site reviews. Had she, she would have noticed a lot of original content that does not feature any of the affiliate links mentioned in her review.

An example of such content is this piece itself. It is a serious comment and we are not trying to impose anything on our readership. It’s not like we are posting a link to an affiliate porn site such as the excellent and highly recommended eroticcheerleaders.com or including a ‘hook’ in the form of a sexy picture such as this one that is designed specifically to make you want to click it and buy a subscription. Absolutely not.

The review does mention the Second Life porn we produce and make available for free: The site’s creator seems particularly interested in “Second Life” as he mentions it frequently around the site – he even “manages” a free “sex lounge” in the “Second Life” world.”. However, the extended use of “quotes” can only be interpreted as sarcasm. Which is fine by us — we just feel that our involvement in Second Life is something quite unique and original. Not many sites try to engage with their users by creating a virtual space where they can socialise and have fun (and producing free porn in the process).

JanesGuide.com has been around 10 years and is an authority when it comes to reviewing adult websites, so we take their comments on board and learn from them. 1. Criticism hurts, huh?

   If it’s any consolation I think it’s a bad review.

   I do agree that there are funnier sites where with much better writing (utterpants for one), but there is also a lot of crap being reviewed too and given quality scores.
