When male police officers in Moscow look in mirrors they see themselves labelled as a ‘homos’.

Mirrors play special trickery on people’s visual perceptions by inverting images in a mirror image fashion. Hence the term ‘mirror image’.
The same effect is causing great concern amongst police officers in Moscow. Their uniforms sport a label that says ‘OMOH’ in big bold letters. When read invertedly the same letters spell ‘HOMO’.
Not to be confused with a palindrome, a word that when read both ways remains the exactly the same, like ‘radar’ (not to be confused by ‘gaydar’).
The image below has been manipulated to achieve inversion of the image – incontestable proof that ‘OMOH’ spelt backwards reads ‘HOMO’.

The recent Moscow clashes between gay rights activists on one side and nationalists and Orthodox Christians on the other proved to be awkward for the local police. Political analysts have speculated that they failed to intervene to stop the violence fearing that they may be perceived as an official gay police force, and that the gay activists might have thought of them as Ray, the camp cop from the Village People.
